Biography

Kristine Roggentien leads the communications and marketing efforts at the Driving Safety Research Institute (DSRI) and is a writer and web content manager for the College of Engineering. She plans and develops communications and marketing materials, informing community members, industry members, partners, media outlets, university personnel, and other stakeholders of our research activities and goals. She develops the DSRI Annual Report, develops web content, designs websites, oversees DSRI social media accounts, edits research documents, leads the communications for the Automated Driving Systems (ADS) for Rural America project, and provides other communications, marketing, web, and outreach support to the College of Engineering as needed.

Before joining DSRI in 2020, she was a communications specialist with University of Iowa Health Care Marketing and Communications, and prior to that has served a science writer for the UI Department of Psychiatry and editor of K–12 science educational test prep materials for Buckle Down Publishing.
