In a new video released by Iowa Magazine, Ahmad and director Dan McGehee discuss the Automated Driving Systems for Rural America project. Led by University of Iowa researchers and funded by a $7 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the project will gather data on the challenges rural roads present to automated driving systems and study how emerging technology can help older residents in rural communities overcome mobility barriers.
