Congratulations to Daniel McGehee, PhD, as he has recently been promoted and tenured through the tenure-track and instructional-track processes. Daniel McGehee is an associate professor of industrial and systems engineering, emergency medicine, public health, and public policy, as well as the director of the National Advanced Driving Simulator.
Leading faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students in his role as director, Professor McGehee concentrates his research on preventing or reducing the severity of car crashes through sensing, design, and policy. He has been a principal or co-principal investigator of more than $42 million in research for the U.S. DOT, NIH, and automotive industry.
He has had a career full of significant achievements – this honor marks his contributions to our campus and reflects his stature and reputation in the academic community. Please join us in congratulating him on this important milestone!
